Bios

Warren Lynch

In 1969 I graduated from the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California. I love the outdoors, so I figured I would end up shooting for National Geographic. It didn't happen! After working at a few studios in Dallas, I started a studio of my own in Louisville, Kentucky.

Louisville is home to many large corporations, like GE Appliances, Brown-Forman, Yum!, and many distilleries, restaurants, and manufacturers. I could say that they're the reason I moved to Louisville, but it was the tremondously gracious people I met, along with the vibrant creative community here, that made up my mind. The outdoors I love is close at hand, and they run the Kentucky Derby in May. Don't tell anybody, but it's a great place to live.

Over the course of my photographic career, I've shot everything from pastries to panties, from disco balls to bouron balls. My collection of statues, plaques, and plexiglass ornaments stretches from the local ad-fed to the New York One show. And I do appreciate all of that stuff. But the thing I like most about this business is that each day has the possibility to be more fun than the last.

In 2003, he was invited to create images honoring the Louisville Ballet's 50th Anniversary. He's been exhibiting at galleries, cafes, and juried art shows since 1997.

The Louisville Graphic Design Association recognized Victor with Gold and Silver Awards for Photography in 2005.
